Research strategy

The research strategy of the Faculty of Medicine is orientated towards the strategic guidelines of the SFU.

These include not only the close networking of science and practice, but also the definition of a research profile that shows interdisciplinary breadth on the one hand and a cooperative deepening of research specialisations on the other. The overarching goal of the Faculty of Medicine is to establish the defined research priorities in the chairs, institutes and centres in their respective disciplines and orientations and to establish the Faculty of Medicine within the next twelve years as an institution with excellent research in the defined research priorities and with unique selling points that cannot be found in this form at any other university.

There is a broad and diverse connection between research and teaching at the Faculty of Medicine. Students interested in scientific collaboration can choose from more than 200 research projects from the various fields of medicine.
