The SFU Medicinal Plant Garden (SFU-Med Building, 6th floor) was presented for the first time this year as part of the Medicinal Plant Days organized by the Austrian Society for Phytotherapy https://www.phytotherapie.at/. The guided tour, led by the medicinal plant garden’s initiator, Univ.-Prof. Mag.pharm. DDr. Sabine Krist, PD, focused on plants used for essential oils.
Interested participants were able to explore the medicinal plant garden through scent strips and received expert information on the use of each medicinal plant in phytotherapy.
The tour concluded with a visit to the display cases of the SFU Medicinal Plant Garden, which feature not only photos of the medicinal plants but also dried plant parts and preparations made from them.
