Bachelor’s degree programme in Human Medicine with specialisations in Human Medicine and Dentistry
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Human Medicine, with specialisations in Human Medicine and Dentistry, is the foundation course for the subsequent Master’s degree programmes in Human Medicine and Dentistry, which lead to a Dr. med. univ. or Dr. med. dent. and provide access to the medical profession.
The Bachelor’s degree programme is designed as a three-year Bachelor’s degree programme (Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences, BScMed) with 180 ECTS credits.
Master’s programme in Human Medicine
In the first four semesters of the Master’s degree programme in Human Medicine, the previously acquired knowledge is deepened in a symptom-oriented manner in the recurring theoretical-clinical system blocks and expanded to include aspects of treatment. Part of the timetable is reserved for teaching in interdisciplinary cross-sectional subjects in the transdisciplinary clinical conference teaching format; this concerns the specialist areas of radiology and radiooncology, laboratory medicine, pathology and microbiology, molecular genetics, interdisciplinary pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as clinical pharmacology.
The Master’s degree programme in Human Medicine is designed as a three-year Master’s degree programme (Doctor medicinae universae, Dr. med. univ.) with 180 ECTS credits.
Master’s degree programme in Dentistry
The Master’s degree programme in Dentistry offers theoretical, scientific and practical training in preparation for a career in dentistry and, as a consecutive degree programme, builds on the content of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Human Medicine with a specialisation in dentistry.
The Master’s degree programme in Dentistry is designed as a three-year Master’s degree programme (Doctor medicinae dentalis, Dr. med. dent.) with 180 ECTS credits.
