Decision Making for Pricing and Reimbursement – a Modular Academic Diploma Program

This academic program consists of 5 independent modules each building on the knowledge and skills required for health outcomes research and health policy making. Each module of the program comprises a series of lectures, tutorials, panel discussions and individual work. The interactive atmosphere during the course ensures effective communication with the faculty and fosters professional exchange and networking between the participants. Each module can be booked as a stand-alone module. Successful completion of a single module will be awarded with a certificate.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Deepening the knowledge & business case exercises
  • Understand Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) principles and the possibilities and limitations of controlled trials
  • Understand key health outcome measures: QALYs and ICERs and their importance for reimbursement argumentation
  • Understand health outcomes studies: analyze key publications and understand the various modelling techniques (Decision tree, Markov …)
  • Appreciate the need for epidemiological data from regional/ national health statistics and the importance to “localize” and adapt your health economic data to the needs of relevant stakeholders
  • The 10 do’s & don’ts in HTA dossier preparation
